Ceva India organizes customer meetings on Evolution of emerging IBDV & IBV and the control strategies

During Poultry India Hyderabad Expo-2025, Ceva set out its latest disease control solutions against IB & IBD in broilers, long live birds for improving performance. IB & IBD is a serious disease that causes economic losses in Poultry operations.

That’s the reason why, IB & IBD must be taken under control through an effective vaccination (vaccine, equipment and services) protocol at the hatchery.

Opening speech given by Dr. Anant Wadkar, Country Director, India & South Asia.

Dr. Anant Wadkar: “At Ceva, we provide ‘Solution’ not only as a vaccine producer and supplier but also with unique services such as hatchery equipment, vaccination service and veterinary service”.

Dr. Sjaak de Wit, Immunologist and Poultry Veterinarian at GD Deventer presented updates about Infectious Bursal Disease (IBD) & Infectious Bronchitis Diseases (IBV) in poultry. He gave overview of the distribution of the new IBD strains which are present in Europe and how spread to other geographies. He presented while this new dominant strain hardly causes clinical signs, the damage in the bursa is severe and long-lasting indicating its immunosuppressive nature. Additionally, he presented data from a recent efficacy study to prove that new technology IBD vaccines can provide strong protection against the new field strains.

Dr Guillermo González (Ceva’s Global veterinary services manager) detailed the benefits and advancements of Nextmune® in providing early protection through his “Nextmune®: The next step for faster Gumboro control”. He also shared the convincing results observed worldwide on Nextmune’ s ability to block the circulation of strains in the field.

He also spoke about “We are very excited to introduce IBird which is one of the most important part of our broad IB protection strategy and strong player of effective and reformist IB control program. We are also very happy to add another very important vaccine “Cevac IBird as a variant vaccine” to our hatchery vaccine range.
