Mr. Mulder commented that domestic focus will shift towards creating more value, such as value-added chicken and processed chicken products.
Dr. Christophe Cazaban presented on IBD yesterday, today & tomorrow. He shared the latest evidence on diversity of IBDV worldwide, that is, very virulent strains being present in most of EU & Asian countries, the successive detection of a recently described reassortant variant in the many parts of the world including India. He emphasized on the need for monitoring the flocks regularly not only by evaluating the production parameters but to look specifically for the occurrence of IBDV and adjust the control measures according to the results.
In continuation Dr. Guillermo González presented on NEXTMUNE, a hatchery vaccine adapted to new wild strains, allowing earlier protection of broilers against Gumboro disease. He shared data on improved ROI since the vaccine was introduced in several accounts. Dr. Saravana & Dr. Guillermo highlighted results coming from field trials of NEXTMUNE in India and explained clearly the respective positioning of TRANSMUNE and NEXTMUNE. Based on customers’ results, Nextmune without IBD
revaccination offers lower FCR, lower mortality, and a higher Performance Index compared to IBD hatchery revaccination hot IBD vaccine on the farm.
The first day ended with engaging activity on Nextmune Championship with Go Kart racing at Pink Falcon, Jaipur. This activity cemented the fact that Nextmune is the ONLY SAFE & FASTER SOLUTION for IBD control.
On Day-2, Dr. Guillermo presented on importance of IB variant vaccine usage, benefits of combining Mass plus Cevac IBird and its safety during mixing with mass IB strain, day old broiler, breeder and layer usage of the vaccine.
Through a dialogue-based session, Dr. Christophe Cazaban & Dr. Marcelo Paniago explained the audience as how Respiratory Pathogens are Creating Mutual Conspiracy, either they damage respiratory system alone or together with another pathogen (particularly corelation between H9+ ND+ IB+ MG) and how can we control it effectively.
Dr. Marcelo Paniago & Dr. Cristophe Cazaban presented latest evidence on Vectormune ND. They spoke about latest “Update on the control of Newcastle disease: Reduction of viral excretion”.
In the second half, Dr. Saravana Perumal & Dr. Marcelo Paniago presented Innovation in Broiler breeder vaccination- introducing Vectormune FP MG, Cevac S Gallinarum 9R & Megamune. Males and females are then reared separately, allowing poultry producers to adapt rearing programs, including feeding, to their specific needs to ensure uniformity required for chicken processing.
They also presented hatchery automation equipment offering from Ceva including Egginject, Laserlife, Dovac Hi-Speed line along with CHICK & EVERY CHICK COUNT program. Attendees also had the opportunity to exchange with experts from several specialist companies about the latest innovations in data management, new hatching technologies, hatchery vaccination, disease control & automation.
The summit focused both on the practical aspects of hatchery management, as well as highlighting the changes that new vaccines will bring to current programmes.
