Ceva India’s “C Our Future” Campaign: Tackling Child Stunting Through Egg Donation.
Ceva India, in collaboration with Premium Chick Feeds, has embarked on a transformative journey to combat child stunting in India through its groundbreaking initiative, the “C Our Future” campaign. This initiative focuses on providing nutritional support to underprivileged children in low-income areas by organizing egg donation activities in schools. One such event took place on 1st March 2024 at Pradnya Shikshan Mandal in Pune.
Child stunting, characterized by impaired growth and development due to chronic malnutrition, remains a pressing issue in India, particularly in marginalized communities. Recognizing the urgency of this issue, Ceva India has taken proactive steps to address it through targeted interventions that prioritize access to nutritious food for vulnerable children.
Eggs are a rich source of essential nutrients, including protein, vitamins, and minerals, making them an ideal dietary component for combating malnutrition. Through the egg donation activities organized under the “C Our Future” campaign, Ceva India aims to provide children from low-income backgrounds with regular access to this highly nutritious food item. By incorporating eggs into their diet, these children can receive the vital nutrients necessary for healthy growth and development, thereby reducing the risk of stunting and related health complications.
The success of the “C Our Future” campaign hinges on collaborative efforts between Ceva India and Premium Chick Feeds. From Ceva India Mr. Anil Pawar (KAM), Kiran Chavan (CSR Reporting manager) & Ms. Rupali Pol (R&D Asst. Manager) and From Premium Chick Feeds Dr. Pankaj Gandhewar were present.
Since its inception, the “C Our Future” campaign has made significant strides in Maharashtra State, with approximately 1,000 children benefiting from the egg donation activities. By extending its reach to 10 schools in low-income areas, the initiative has touched the lives of numerous children, offering them hope for a brighter, healthier future.
In year 2023-24 total 94,907 eggs have been donated to the children’s (schools / orphanage). Further in year 2024-25 Ceva India aiming 2,000 Children and ~200,000 eggs to be donated in pan India.
